Ph.D. Physical Oceanography
I am a scientist with a passion for both our environment and the people who inhabit it. I pursued a PhD because I recognized a need to include scientists in science communication, science policy, and resource management. Throughout my scientific career I have learned the everyday ins and outs of research and gained a better understanding of the process that goes into creating new knowledge. Now I work with scientists and non-scientists to help people understand the consequences of climate change and adapt to a changing environment. Through an education in earth science and personal experience connecting with people from different countries, cultures, and languages, I am well-suited to this task.
